Charter questions

Will we get seasick on a French Riviera charter?

Rarely, by charter standards. The Riviera runs on calm summer weather, the hops between Cannes, Antibes, St Tropez and the Cap are short, and most nights are spent at anchor in protected bays where the boat barely moves.

If anyone is prone to motion, tell us and we plan around it. Larger motor yachts carry stabilizers that settle the ride under way and at rest, and a good captain times any open leg for a calm window.

The honest caveat is the Mistral, the strong northwesterly that can blow up for a day or two and kick up a short sea. The coast has sheltered options in almost any wind, and the captain simply reshapes the day around it.
