I walked LUMIERE at the MYBA Charter Show in Sanremo in 2026 with Martina, Daniel, John and Louis from our team. The photos are mine, from that afternoon.
LUMIERE is the award-winning Benetti Oasis beach deck with an infinity pool at water level. Her whole aft deck sits a step above the sea, the wings fold out, and the pool is in the middle of it. That is catamaran territory, and here it comes with 500 tonnes of Benetti behind it.
She is a 50-metre B.Now Oasis from 2023 with a master on the main deck, a balcony over the water and no stairs to reach it, and a plunge pool on the sundeck above. Twelve guests in six cabins, ten crew, 330,000 EUR a week.
This review is about that deck, the master, the sundeck, who she fits, and what she is not.
LUMIERE in numbers
- Length and beam: 49.9 m (164 ft), beam 9.2 m, draft 2.6 m, 499 GT. Benetti B.Now 50M Oasis, 2023. Exterior by RWD, interior by Benetti.
- Guests: 12 in 6 cabins: a full-beam master on the main deck with a private balcony, three doubles and a convertible double or twin on the lower deck, and a sixth cabin on the upper deck. Every cabin with its own bathroom.
- Crew: 10.
- Speed: 11 knots cruising, 15 knots maximum. Range 4,500 nautical miles. Zero-speed stabilisers.
- Rate: 330,000 EUR per week in the Mediterranean, plus expenses. In the Caribbean 330,000 to 350,000 USD. With 12 aboard that is 27,500 EUR per person for the week before expenses.
- Water: the Oasis deck with an infinity pool and fold-out wings at the stern, a plunge pool on the sundeck, a swim platform. Toys: a 10.4 m Onda chase tender and a Williams 465, three jet skis, three Seabobs, an e-foil, two paddleboards, a slide, towables, an anti-jellyfish pool. A gym.
- Cruising: the Riviera, Corsica, Sardinia and the Italian coast in summer, from the South of France, Monaco or Corsica; licensed for Greece. The Caribbean in winter.
The Oasis deck: a beach at the waterline with the pool in the middle
Walk aft on the main deck and the yacht drops to the sea. The stern wings fold out to make a terrace a step above the water, the infinity pool sits in the middle of it with loungers around, and the beach club opens behind. There is no gap between the pool and the sea.
Most 50-metre motor yachts give you a swim platform and a ladder. LUMIERE gives you the thing catamarans have, a whole living deck at water level, and she does it with the volume and the crew of a 499-tonne Benetti.
Louis put it on camera at the show: an adult sits there with a cocktail while the children are in the water next to them.
The master: on the main deck, with a balcony over the water and no stairs
The master runs the full beam of the main deck, forward of the saloon, with windows down both sides and a balcony that folds out over the sea. His-and-hers bathrooms in pale stone. It is big, bright and quiet.
The point for a charter is the deck it is on. A guest who cannot do stairs comes aboard, walks through the saloon and is in the master, with the balcony for morning coffee. On most yachts this size the owner’s cabin is a deck up or a deck down.
The sundeck and the sky lounge: a plunge pool, a bar and a cinema
Two decks up, the sundeck has a plunge pool forward with a sofa round it, a bar with stools under the hardtop, a gym corner with a bike and a cross trainer, and a dining table with a screen that rises at the end of it. More than 100 square metres, and the second place on board to be in the water.
The sky lounge below it is the room for the evening: cream sofas, a navy ottoman and a big screen. The saloon on the main deck has the dining table laid under a cluster of brass lamps.
The cabins: six for twelve
Six cabins for twelve is the layout most 50-metres do not have; most stop at five. Below the master are three doubles and one cabin that converts between a double and twins, and there is a sixth cabin on the upper deck.
All cream, all with their own bathrooms, and on our walk every bed had lavender and a chocolate on it.
Who she is for
- A family with children who live in the water, with the parents at the pool edge.
- A primary couple in the main-deck master, with two or three couples below.
- A group with a guest who cannot do stairs: the master, the saloon and the Oasis deck are on one level.
What she is for, and what she is not
Water and the toys first, then family, then the design and the new-yacht feel. She is not for covering distance: 11 knots cruising and 15 top make her an anchorage boat.
Her Mediterranean charters have to start in the South of France, Monaco or Corsica, so Italy and Greece are a delivery away. And she has no page on our sites yet, so we quote her by request.
Booking LUMIERE for the South of France: rate, VAT, base and what to ask
The published rate is 330,000 EUR per week in the Mediterranean, plus expenses: APA for fuel, food, drink and port fees, and VAT at the rate of the country you cruise in. That is the top of the 50-metre band on the Riviera.
For it you get a 2023 Benetti with the Oasis deck, six cabins, ten crew, a 10-metre chase boat and a slide. She starts from the South of France, Monaco or Corsica.
Ask for the wings to be out and the pool filled on the first afternoon, which cabin the sixth couple takes, and for the chase boat to be in the water on day one.
We have walked her and we put her fifth on our Top 10 superyachts in the South of France and on our list of charter yachts with a pool.
Four yachts in her class on the Riviera
Four yachts in her class on the Riviera I would look at next if LUMIERE’s dates are gone.
