Charter Yachts with a Sauna in the South of France (2026)

By Klara Jakobsen, Yacht Reviewer at DMA Yachting.

A real sauna on a charter yacht is rarer than a pool, and on this coast it genuinely starts at around €150,000 a week. Below that you will mostly find steam showers or nothing at all; above it, saunas turn up in beach clubs, in dedicated spas, and on a handful of yachts, inside the master suite itself.

That last group is the one no listing site shows you, and it is the thread running through this page. I have been aboard most of these yachts at the charter shows, and the examples below are grouped by weekly budget, not ranked.

Last updated: September 2026. Saunas verified against each yacht’s own record and our own visits. The photo above is the sauna and massage room aboard THIS IS IT, taken by us at the Sanremo charter show.

A sauna you do not share

The best sauna on a yacht is the one you do not share. Three of the yachts below build the heat into the owner’s quarters: on INCAL the master cabin carries a large hammam shower alongside 2 fold-down balconies, on ANJELIF the master bathroom brings a private spa bath and its own sauna, and CORAL OCEAN goes further still with an infrared sauna in the master’s own ensuite.

Just under this page’s price band there are 2 more worth knowing: OGUZ KHAN, from €140,000 a week, puts a Turkish steam room in the master cabin, and GUILLEMOT, from $125,000, carries a sauna in her split-level master suite. Both charter this coast and both are on our books.

Sauna, steam room or hammam

Sauna is one word doing 3 jobs. A dry Finnish-style sauna is what LADY VERA and RENATA carry in their beach clubs. A steam room runs cooler and wetter: NELA keeps a steam bath beside her beach-club gym, and CORAL OCEAN’s is a proper set piece, a mosaic steam room whose tiles form a jellyfish mural. A hammam is the marble-and-steam middle ground, and INCAL’s master shower is built as one.

The hero photo above shows a fourth shape: the glass-walled sauna and massage room aboard THIS IS IT, a 2024 Tecnomar of 43 metres that charters this coast from €350,000 a week. She is not listed on this site, so ask us and we will check her availability directly.

After the heat

The heat is only half of it. CORAL OCEAN follows hers with an ice bath in the gym, ANJELIF pairs hers with a heated counter-current pool on the main deck, and on every one of these boats the classic finish is a step off the swim platform into the sea.

If the training side matters as much as the heat, our yachts with a gym page covers it, and the swimming half lives on yachts with a pool.

Where the genuine saunas begin: beach-club installations and the first of the master-suite surprises.

RENATA

RENATA carries her sauna in the beach club, next to a proper yoga studio and a pop-up cinema: heat, stretch and a film in the same room at the waterline.

Step aboard and you feel the standard immediately: a spotless, high-end interior with a marble bar and a backlit dining table that shifts mood with a tap, sharpened by a 2025 refit. The master suite opens onto a private bow terrace with its own hot tub and coffee corner, and her guests rate her 4.8 across 164 reviews.

She sleeps 12 in 6 cabins, 5 of them with king beds, with a full spa jacuzzi, bar and barbecue up top. For a group that wants the wellness built in rather than bolted on, she is the pick of this band.

NELA

NELA keeps a steam bath and shower beside her covered beach-club gym, with a stewardess who doubles as a personal trainer. Train at the waterline, steam, then swim.

She is a Benetti whose refit is repeated every year, most recently in 2025, so she keeps looking brand new. The main saloon’s furniture moves to transform it into a full cinema room, and the sundeck hot tub comes with a retractable shade and a big screen for movie nights under the stars.

She sleeps 10 in 5 cabins with a generously grand, bright master, carries scuba equipment for 4, and can host well over 100 guests dockside during the Grand Prix.

INCAL

INCAL builds the heat into the owner’s quarters: the master cabin stands out with a large hammam shower and 2 fold-down balconies, so the steam ends with sea air.

She is also the most original interior on this page. Named after the French sci-fi classic L’Incal, with pieces from the graphic novels woven throughout, and a blooming ceiling garden of coloured paper flowers over the dining area: an over-the-top detail done beautifully. Her guests agree, rating her 4.9 across 186 reviews, the highest score on this page.

A 45 metre Mondomarine refitted in 2025, she sleeps 12 in 6 cabins, with 2 eFoils and 2 two-person Seadoo Sparks off the stern and stabilizers at anchor and underway.

The top of the market

Above €250,000 a week the sauna joins a full spa, and on 2 of these 3, a second private one hides in the master.

ANJELIF

ANJELIF gives you the sauna twice: once in the full spa, alongside the massage room, gym, plunge pool and a permanent onboard masseuse, and once privately, in the master bathroom with its own spa bath.

A 2024 Columbus build of 50 metres, she is a firm favourite with women chartering together, and one of the stewardesses is a certified yoga and Pilates instructor who also offers Thai massage. Her cabin flexibility is unmatched: convertible doubles with an extra berth for a nanny, and a huge VIP suite that splits into 2 further doubles.

Between sessions there is a heated counter-current pool on the main deck and a bow that doubles as an outdoor cinema. Note she is quoted in dollars, from $295,000 a week.

CORAL OCEAN

CORAL OCEAN covers all 3 kinds of heat: a sauna in the spa, a mosaic steam room whose tiles form a jellyfish mural, and an infrared sauna tucked into the master’s own ensuite.

She is a 73 metre Lürssen designed by Jon Bannenberg, fresh from a major 2026 refit that rebuilt her sundeck around a glass-bottomed spa pool. The wellness crew matches the hardware: a Pilates instructor, personal trainer and spa masseuse on staff, with a reformer, ice bath and open-air gym on the main deck.

She sleeps 12 in 6 cabins, 6 of them with king beds, led by a super-king owner’s suite with his-and-hers bathrooms. If wellness is the point of the week, she is the standard to beat.

LADY VERA

LADY VERA carries her sauna in the beach club, with ensuite facilities alongside so the whole swim-heat-shower circuit happens at water level.

At 74 metres she is the largest yacht on this page, a Nobiskrug refitted in 2023, sleeping 12 in 6 cabins, 2 of them convertible. Her guests rate her 4.8 across 209 reviews.

The toy garage reads like a catalogue: jet skis, stand-up jet skis, Seabobs, jet surfs, a flyboard, a Fly Ride, a jet pack, a hoverboard and scuba gear. For a group that wants the full superyacht spectacle with the sauna as the quiet hour in the middle of it, she is the one.

People also ask

Do charter yachts have real saunas?

At this level, yes. Below roughly EUR150,000 a week on this coast you will mostly find steam showers or nothing, which is exactly why this page starts where it does. Every yacht listed here carries a genuine sauna, steam room or hammam.

What is the difference between a sauna, a steam room and a hammam?

A sauna is dry heat, usually wood-lined and hottest. A steam room is cooler and fully humid. A hammam is the marble Turkish version of steam, often built into a shower. The entries above say which is which per yacht.

Which yachts have a private sauna in the master suite?

On this page, INCAL (hammam shower), ANJELIF (sauna and spa bath in the master bathroom) and CORAL OCEAN (infrared sauna in the ensuite). Just below this price band, OGUZ KHAN has a Turkish steam room in the master and GUILLEMOT a sauna in her split-level master suite.

Does a sauna make sense on a summer charter?

More than you would think. The classic circuit is a swim, the sauna, then straight back into the sea, and evenings at anchor are when it earns its place. The crew heat it whenever you like.
