Families are the most common brief we get for the French Riviera, and the hardest to answer from a brochure. “Sleeps 12” tells you nothing about whether the children can sleep near their parents, whether a cot can be added, or whether the crew will actually take them for an hour.

Every yacht below is one we have been aboard, and each entry says what we found: the connecting cabins, the nanny berth, the convertible twin, the crew who step in. Ranked by starting price, cheapest first, from €75,000 to €295,000 a week plus expenses. TENACITY is the entry point to this list and the one we recommend when the youngest guests are very young. She can be fully secured for family charters with small children aboard, which sounds minor until you have spent a week saying no.

She is a 34m Sunseeker, ten guests across five cabins, two of them convertible so the sleeping plan bends to whoever turns up. A 2023 interior upgrade and another refresh last winter keep her in genuinely good condition. Starlink runs throughout, and the 13-speaker Sonos with a big-screen TV covers the evenings when nobody wants to go ashore.

The flybridge is a real event space with a central bar, long tables and misters, which is what makes her work for a large family group rather than just a couple with children. A Seadoo Spark jet ski and two Seabobs handle the water, and at-anchor stabilizers keep dinner calm.

MANTA is the only catamaran on this list, and for a family she is a serious argument. Her cabins convert flexibly between twins and doubles, so she is equally at home with one family or four couples, and you decide which after you have counted heads.

The exceptionally wide beam gives her interior space that a 24m monohull cannot match, headlined by a huge open galley and a bright saloon with room to spare. That galley-up layout also puts the chef in the middle of the action rather than hidden below, which children find far more interesting than a closed door.

Up on the flybridge there is gym equipment, a hammock, and a deckhand who doubles as a personal trainer. A Seadoo GTX 230 jet ski is rare on a catamaran, and two Seabobs round out the water kit.

EVEREAST is the boat we name first when a family asks whether the crew will help with the children. They will. Her crew are used to stepping in as nannies, and a cot can be added for the littlest guests.

She is a 35m Sunseeker taking eleven guests in five cabins, with a main-deck master, two VIP staterooms and twin cabins below, so parents and children genuinely can be arranged sensibly. A major refit brightened the interior and annual touch-ups keep her looking fresh.

She also carries a very large chase boat, which on a family week is worth more than it sounds: extra toys, extra space, and a way to take half the group ashore without moving the yacht. Stabilizers work at anchor and underway, and there is an electric e-foil aboard for the teenagers.

DESAMIS B solves the problem most families actually have, which is where the children sleep. She has two connecting twin cabins, one convertible and one with a Pullman berth, so parents stay close rather than a deck away.

She is a 40m Benetti and keeps her classic charm inside, cruising in mint condition after a recent refit. What we remember is the welcome: fresh-baked pastries and a crew who had clearly thought about the arrival rather than just executed it.

Her water setup is unusually organised for a yacht of her age. She runs an RYA water sports centre aboard, with two Yamaha jet skis and a three-seat Waverunner, so the toys come with instruction rather than a shrug and a life jacket.

OASIS is the pick for two families sharing or a multi-generational group, and the reason is her cabin plan. The layout is flexible enough to sleep up to fourteen, which gives you room to solve an awkward group rather than turning people away.

She is a 47m ISA with six cabins including two twins, one carrying a Pullman. The master is exceptionally large for her size, with its own office and a small lounge, so the grandparents or the couple paying can have genuine separation from the rest of the boat.

Built by Rosetti in 2021, her interior is clean and sharp and genuinely colourful, minimalist without feeling stark. The 3.5m sundeck infinity pool is the feature the children will remember, and it is a real pool rather than a plunge tub.

One detail we liked: the aft crane doubles as a bar when it is not lifting anything. Two Sea-Doo GTX 300 jet skis handle the fast half of the day, stabilizers the rest.

DAWO came out of the shipyard in 2025 and was built with families in mind: there is a Pullman-equipped children’s cabin, and the water toys are doubled up so siblings are not taking turns.

She channels 1960s Benetti style in a crisp blue-and-white palette, and the white interior gives the whole yacht an uplifting feel. The crew each bring more than ten years of experience, which shows in how a week runs rather than in the brochure.

Two things nobody else has: there is a fisherman aboard bringing in fresh catch for the chef, and the chief stewardess is a trained sommelier. Add a wide stern beach club that opens to the sea and a 1.7m-deep bow jacuzzi, and the day fills itself.

MIRAGE has eight cabins, four of them twins with four Pullman berths between them, and that is the single most useful fact on this page. No other yacht here comes close for a large multi-generational group.

She is a 53m Feadship with a playful, ultra-feminine interior of soft pinks, blues and vintage glamour, and she is a firm favourite for family trips that span three generations. Her fourteen crew include a dedicated yoga instructor, with sundeck space that converts for classes.

The water programme is the best-run on this list. Five RYA-approved jet skis and e-foils, with an instructor on hand, so teenagers get supervised time on real equipment instead of a ten-minute go under a nervous deckhand.

SUI GENERIS has the layout we wish more yachts had: the VIP cabin includes a separate children’s room, plus an extra berth for a nanny. That is a family brief answered in the design rather than improvised on arrival.

She is a 2026 Baglietto, brand new and still untouched when we saw her, a sporty exterior against a surprisingly elegant and comfortable interior. She is a genuinely great family boat and one of the newest yachts chartering on the coast.

The outdoor count is unusual for 41m: a two-level beach club with an infinity pool, a second custom pool on the sundeck, fold-out balconies, and a sundeck jacuzzi that is a real showstopper. Two pools means the adults and the children are not negotiating over one.

ANJELIF tops this list because her cabin flexibility is unmatched. Convertible doubles take an extra berth for a nanny, and the huge VIP suite splits into two further doubles, so one yacht covers several completely different group shapes.

She is a 2024 Columbus, and the master is a small apartment: its own massage room and gym, which open up for the rest of the group to use, and a bathroom with a private spa bath and sauna. The full spa, with sauna, massage room, gym and plunge pool, comes with a permanent onboard masseuse.

That combination has made her a firm favourite with women chartering together, and it works equally for a family who want the adults looked after while the children use the pool and the two e-foils.
