Charter Yachts with a Gym in the South of France (2026)

By Klara Jakobsen, Yacht Reviewer at DMA Yachting.

A proper gym on a charter yacht is a real feature, not a treadmill squeezed into a corridor. On this coast it starts at roughly €100,000 a week, and at the top end it means a dedicated fitness deck with a reformer, an ice bath and an instructor on the crew.

That last part is the detail listings never show: on several of the yachts below, someone on board actually runs your training. I have been aboard most of these myself at the charter shows, and the examples further down are grouped by weekly budget, not ranked, because the right answer depends on what you want to spend.

Last updated: September 2026. Gyms verified against each yacht’s own record and our own visits.

Gyms with someone to run them

Equipment lists all look the same on paper. What separates these boats is the person standing next to the equipment.

CORAL OCEAN carries a Pilates instructor, a personal trainer and a spa masseuse on staff. On ANJELIF, one of the stewardesses is a certified yoga and Pilates instructor who also offers Thai massage. NELA’s stewardess doubles as a personal trainer, and MARICAN FOREVER keeps a Pilates instructor on board to keep guests moving between stops.

Two more we know first hand and can source on request: ARTISAN, a 63 metre Benetti that added a dedicated top-deck gym in 2022, and LA MIRAGE, whose 14-person crew includes a dedicated yoga instructor with sundeck space that transforms for classes. Neither is listed on this site right now, so ask us and we will check her current program for you.

Where the gym lives on board

Where the gym sits changes how much you will actually use it.

Beach club gyms put the weights at the waterline: NELA’s is covered, with a steam bath and shower next to it, and HANA tucks hers indoors off the swim platform. Deck gyms trade privacy for the view: GHOST III builds her sundeck around staying fit and partying in equal measure. And a few boats give training its own room: CORAL OCEAN’s main-deck gym opens fully to the outdoors, MAIA’s dedicated gym comes with its own sauna, and on ANJELIF the gym and massage room sit inside the master suite, opening up to other guests when you want them to.

Beyond the weights

The gym is rarely the whole wellness story at this level. Ice baths show up on CORAL OCEAN and WIND OF FORTUNE, RENATA’s beach club holds a sauna and a yoga studio, and steam rooms, massage tables and saunas ride along on most of the boats below. The full heat story lives on our yachts with a sauna page.

If the recovery side matters more to you than the training side, tell us: that is a different shortlist, and our yachts with a pool page covers the swimming half of it.

From €120,000 to €140,000 a week

The entry to the genuine-gym tier. Every boat here has a dedicated space or standout kit, not a rowing machine in a cupboard.

WIND OF FORTUNE

WIND OF FORTUNE carries a full gym with an ice bath, which is rare at this price, and the rest of her is pure character. Built by CRN in 1981 and refreshed in a 2020 refit, she keeps her unmistakable 80s style right down to the Ralph Lauren bed linen, with formal silver-service dining and a gaming room with a racing simulator for the rest days.

She sleeps 16 guests in 7 cabins, a rarity on this coast, and can host more than 100 dockside, which makes her a natural pick for weddings and event weeks. Film buffs may recognise her: she appeared in Rush Hour 2 with Jackie Chan.

Off the stern there is a waterslide, 2 jet skis and 2 Seabobs, with stabilizers at anchor keeping the nights calm.

MAIA

MAIA gives training its own room: a dedicated gym with its own sauna, with a hydraulic drop-down stern that puts the cool-down swim right at the water’s edge.

She is a 2025 build with a Scandinavian-inspired interior, light wood, white textured fabrics and quartz accents, some of the most refined styling around. Captain Philip has run more than 200 charters and keeps a steady crew of 11, including 2 full-time chefs, which tells you everything about how she is run.

She sleeps 12 in 6 cabins, 3 of them convertible so the layout flexes with your group, and the water toys come in twos: jet skis, Seabobs and e-foils, so nobody waits for a turn.

MARICAN FOREVER

MARICAN FOREVER keeps a Pilates instructor on board to keep guests moving between stops. The smallest boat on this page, and the most personal way to train on it.

She is a brand-new 2024 Ferretti, minimalist, light and neutral, with a luxe beach-club feel throughout and a fold-out transom that expands the waterside hangout. Her guests rate her 4.8 across 173 reviews, and her cruising grounds run from St Tropez and Cannes down the Italian coast.

She sleeps 12 in 5 cabins including 2 triples, which makes her surprisingly good for families, with stabilizers running both underway and at anchor.

The middle of the market is where the gyms move into the beach club, and where the fitness crew start to appear.

HANA

HANA hides an indoor gym in her beach club, a step off the swim platform, and she is one of the most distinctive boats on this page: a super funky, colourful interior by designer Laura Pomponi, bold and sharp yet genuinely luxurious, kept current by a 2024 refit.

The bridge saloon anchors the boat with a big bar table and lounge, while the sundeck delivers sunbeds, a hot tub, a central bar and even its own day head.

She is also a certified RYA training centre, so guests can get proper jet ski instruction during the week, alongside an e-foil, Seabobs and an inflatable trampoline. She sleeps 11 in 5 cabins, and can host up to 100 guests dockside during the Monaco Grand Prix.

RENATA

RENATA raises the bar with her beach club: sauna, a proper yoga studio, and a pop-up cinema in the same space. For a group that stretches more than it lifts, she is the pick of this band.

Step aboard and you feel it immediately: a spotless, high-end interior with a marble bar and a backlit dining table that shifts mood with a tap, all sharpened by a 2025 refit. The master suite opens onto a private bow terrace with its own hot tub and coffee corner, and 5 of her 6 cabins carry king beds.

Up top there is a full spa jacuzzi, bar and barbecue with sweeping sea views. Her guests rate her 4.8 across 164 reviews.

NELA

NELA impresses below decks: a covered beach-club gym with a steam bath and shower alongside it, and a stewardess who doubles as a personal trainer. Train at the waterline, steam, swim, repeat.

She is a Benetti whose refit is repeated every year, most recently in 2025, so she keeps looking brand new. The main saloon’s furniture moves to transform it into a full cinema room, and the sundeck hot tub comes with a retractable shade and a big screen for movie nights under the stars.

She sleeps 10 in 5 cabins with a generously grand, bright master, carries scuba equipment for 4 alongside a Jetsurf and Flyboard, and can host well over 100 guests dockside during the Grand Prix.

GHOST III

GHOST III is for active groups who want to party and stay fit in the same week: a fully equipped onboard gym, and a sundeck built for both jobs with a hot tub, central bar and a large table.

A sporty aluminium build with a classic interior, refitted in 2022, she carries the strongest guest score on this page: 4.9 across 199 reviews.

The extras keep the active brief going: a full RYA school on board so guests can get jet-ski certified during the week, a generously sized chase tender for excursions, a Lift eFoil and an electric surfboard. She sleeps 12 in 6 cabins, 2 of them convertible.

The top of the market

Above €250,000 a week the gym stops being a room and becomes a programme, with staff to run it.

ANJELIF

ANJELIF puts the gym and massage room inside the master suite, opening up for other guests when wanted, and the master bathroom goes further still with a private spa bath and sauna. One of the stewardesses is a certified yoga and Pilates instructor who also offers Thai massage.

A 2024 Columbus build of 50 metres, she is a firm favourite with women chartering together, and her cabin flexibility is unmatched: convertible doubles with an extra berth for a nanny, and a huge VIP suite that splits into 2 further doubles.

Between sessions there is a heated counter-current pool on the main deck, a plunge pool in the spa, and a bow that doubles as a dance floor or outdoor cinema. Note she is quoted in dollars, from $295,000 a week.

CORAL OCEAN

CORAL OCEAN is the most complete fitness setup on this page by some distance: a main-deck gym that opens fully to the outdoors with a reformer, ice bath, bikes and treadmill, run by a Pilates instructor and personal trainer on staff, with a spa masseuse alongside.

She is a 73 metre Lürssen designed by Jon Bannenberg, fresh from a major 2026 refit that rebuilt her sundeck around a glass-bottomed spa pool, with a steam room and sauna below. She sleeps 12 in 6 cabins, 6 of them with king beds, led by a super-king owner’s suite with his-and-hers bathrooms.

When training gives way to play, the toy days go all out: a FunAir waterslide, 3 e-foils, 3 flyboards, jet skis and a fleet of towables, and she is fully equipped for diving. If training is the point of the week, she is the answer.

People also ask

Do yachts with gyms cost more to charter?

A real gym is a feature of larger yachts, so it travels with a bigger budget rather than adding one. In the South of France the yachts we list with genuine gyms start at roughly EUR100,000 a week.

Can the crew act as a personal trainer?

On several of these, yes: CORAL OCEAN carries a Pilates instructor and personal trainer, ANJELIF and NELA have instructor stewardesses, and MARICAN FOREVER keeps a Pilates instructor on board. Tell us how you like to train and we will match the crew to it.

Which yachts combine a gym with a sauna or spa?

MAIA’s gym has its own sauna, RENATA’s beach club adds a yoga studio and sauna, NELA pairs hers with a steam bath, and ANJELIF and CORAL OCEAN carry full spas alongside the gym.

Is gym equipment standard on charter yachts?

Most crewed yachts carry some fitness kit, often yoga mats, weights or a bike brought on request. A dedicated gym space with real equipment is a different thing, and that is what every yacht on this page has.
